Home Away from Home - In the Hospital
The agony of one day in the confines of pristine hospital walls, with the sanitary scent of medicine permeating the air is enough to drive one’s hope and sanity away. The hospital is a tough place, for any of us. It’s a place of uncertainty, fear, trauma, and anxiety. It’s the place where one never wishes to be. When the hospital stay is prolonged, at times for weeks and months, the patient’s and family’s anguish is largely intensified. Between heartbreaking meetings and fateful decisions; during dreadful hours at a patient’s bedside, most people forget the one thing of paramount importance. Only later, when the hunger pangs attack and the fatigued weary bones beseech for a break, do they realize - they forgot to eat.
Chesed Pantry provides the food. The space. The support. All creating piece of mind and calm amidst the chaos.
Just a year.
Raving Reviews.

Families continually forward their warmest wishes to Chesed Pantry members, expressing immense gratitude for the nourishment, at times after 24 hours without a morsel of food!
The success and recognition of the Chesed Pantry is remarkable, bringing requests for a Chesed Pantry from two other prominent hospitals in Israel.
